There are now collections of queries and message boards in many places on the Internet. County sites no longer maintain their own query pages, as in the past. The larger boards on Rootsweb and on Ancestry.com, etc., generally provide much more exposure to your information or questions.

We invite you to visit these query and message board links, and to search or post your own family information. You will want to think carefully about the query that you'll post. It should include as much information as possible about the family during the time period they lived in Gilmer County. Include names, alternate name spellings, birth/death dates, area where they lived, cemetery names, allied family names, etc.
