Gilmer County 1850 Mortality Schedule

Federal mortality census schedules were filled in by the population census enumerators in 1850-1880. The intent was to register all those dying within the year (July 1 1849 to and including 30 June 1850). The Georgia Schedules have been microfilmed and are part of the National Archives microfilm Series T655, reel 7.

Only name, age, death month, and cause of death are recorded in the table below. However, it would behoove readers to seek out microfilm of the actual census mortality schedule for additional information (sex; color (White, Black, or Mulatto); free or slave; married or widowed; place of birth; profession, occupation, or trade; and number of days ill.

"n.r." indicates that the information was not recorded.
